Westland Mfg. utilizes state of the art CNC Laser cutting equipment in the fabrication of precision components and assemblies. Our Trumpf L3050 Laser system is able to cut your complex parts quickly and efficiently and to your exact specifications. We are able to process many different types and thicknesses of materials at speeds up to 1600 inches per minute. With our automation system, we are able to process "lights out" reducing expensive labor costs. We are able to process up to 1" steel, 1/2" stainless, and 5/8" aluminum.
At Westland Manufacturing we use CNC Turret Punch Presses for fabrication of steel, aluminum, stainless, and copper sheet. Compared to other types of equipment, the punch presses are the fastest and most efficient means of fabrication for large and small run parts. Our vast collection of tooling helps keep initial investments to a minimum which helps us stay competitive with small quantity runs. We have the capacity to handle up to 5/16"thick sheets 60" wide by 120" long without repositioning. We are capable of many forming operations such as louvers, card guides, embosses, extrusions, and tapping.
We use CNC pressbrakes to ensure accuracy and keep setup and handling times low. A part with multiple dimension bends can be done in one setup and held within +/- .005". We have the capacity to bend 12' of 1/4" material with 175 tons of bending force.
We use the latest technology in hardware insertion with new Haeger insertion presses that have up to 6 tons of pressing force. We also utilize modular auto-feed systems to keep handling of parts minimal and operating costs down. Many different PEM's and other fasteners are kept in stock for convenience.
Our in house powder-coating makes us truly a one-stop source for metal fabricated parts. Powder coating has become more popular in place of conventional wet paint applications because of it's superior properties. Our ovens can handle parts up to 132" in length. We stock a variety of colors and many other colors, including custom colors, are readily available in a wide variety of glosses and textures. We use a phosphate washing process to ensure adhesion and rust prevention. We also have a Timesaver and a vibratory tumbler and we work with other finishers to provide various plating and anodizing services to our customers.
